Mark Alexander, OD, MBA, FAAO
Dr. Alexander practices Family Optometry with special interest in elder patients and contact lenses.
In 1997, Dr. Alexander joined Brunswick Eye Care from a career in the U. S. Navy as an optometrist, Executive Officer and a search and rescue pilot.
He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry in 1978 as a Navy Scholarship student.
His first tour as a Navy optometrist was at The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, where he was followed by one of his future partners and NECO alumnus, Dr. Brian Daniels.
Dr. Alexander's undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Biology were at Springfield College and the University of Connecticut respectively.
He became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1995, and earned his MBA at the University of Phoenix in 1993.
He is a board member of the Brunswick Rotary Club and chair of Club's Meeting Humor. He is also a Conference Coordinator for the Maine Optometric Association.
You can see him in the headlights, trotting on the roads in the early mornings, and flailing away at squash at lunchtime, with delusions of adequacy and national championships (humor him).

Brian L. Daniels, O.D.
Dr. Daniels joined Brunswick Eye Care Associates in 1984 following five years of active duty as a Medical Service Corps officer in the U.S. Navy. His Naval career included tours of duty at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and at the U.S. Naval Academy. He completed his military career as a Naval Reserve officer in 1997.
Dr. Daniels education includes undergraduate studies at Lyndon State College and Cornell University. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in 1979.
He has served on the board of directors of Brunswick Rotary Club and the Maine Optometric Association, and served as a member of the Maine Board of Optometry.
Dr Daniels practices general optometry with special interest in the care of patients with glaucoma and diabetes. He lives in Brunswick with his wife, Laurene. The Daniels have two adult children, Joseph and Meghan.

Walter B.J. Schuyler, M.D.
Walter B.J. Schuyler, M.D. joined the Brunswick Eye Care team in January of 2011. Previously, he had been providing care at Brunswick Eye Care through a partnership agreement with Maine Eye Center since 1995 after thirteen years of solo practice in Portland, Maine. Since 1982 Dr. Schuyler has provided comprehensive ophthalmology care, oculoplastic care and specializes in the treatment of cataract and medical glaucoma.
Dr. Schuyler received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico. He served as a Harvard Medical School Clinical Fellow in Medicine and completed his medical-surgical internship in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Following internship Dr. Schuyler entered emergency medicine and was elected to the American College of Emergency Physicians. He completed his Geisinger Medical Center residency in ophthalmology in 1981. He was selected as the first oculoplastic fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1982. Oculoplastic surgery is the cosmetic, corrective, and reconstructive surgery of the tissues surrounding the eye.
Dr. Walter Schuyler is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He served as chairman of the Parkview Hospital Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Schuyler teaches medical students and residents as a clinical professor for the University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Nicole C. Shipp, O.D.
Dr. Shipp was born in Tucson, Arizona. She has lived throughout the southwest. She lives in Freeport with her husband Jim and their four legged family, Blackjack and Two.
She graduated from the University of Houston where she completed her bachelors' degree, her doctorate in Optometry and a Residency specializing in Cornea and Contact Lenses in 1994.
She worked in S. Portland and with a surgeon in Westbrook before settling in Brunswick at Brunswick Eye Care Associates.
She has been appointed by both Governors King and Baldacci to serve on the Maine Board of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Maine Optometric Association. She practices with a special interest in cornea and contact lenses.
In her leisure time she enjoys the outdoors, cooking and music.
