Mark Alexander, OD, MBA, FAAO
Dr. Alexander practices Family Optometry
with special interest in elder patients and contact lenses.
In 1997, Dr. Alexander joined Brunswick Eye Care Associates
from a career in the U. S. Navy as an optometrist, Executive Officer and a search and rescue pilot. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry in 1978 as a Navy Scholarship student. His first tour as a Navy optometrist was at The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, where he was followed by one of his future partners and NECO alumnus, Dr. Brian Daniels. Dr. Alexander's undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Biology were at Springfield College and the University of Connecticut respectively. He became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1995, and earned his MBA at the University of Phoenix in 1993. He is a board member of the Brunswick Rotary Club and chair of Club's Meeting Humor. He is also a Conference Coordinator for the Maine Optometric Association. You can see him in the headlights, trotting on the roads in the early mornings, and flailing away at squash at lunchtime, with delusions of adequacy and national championships (humor him).
